PROFILE OF OLUWASEUN IDOWU AKISANYA
Oluwaseun Idowu Akisanya was born on the 6th of January, 1960 to late Royal Moses Olutola Akisanya and Esther Olapeju Akisanya. He studied Accounting at the Federal Polytechnic Bida (HND) and also read Banking and Finance (M.Sc) at the University of Ibadan. Mr. Akisanya is an associate member of the Economic Society of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Taxation. Seun Akisanya joined the Lagos State Civil Servce as a Revenue Officer in 1984. He served the Board of Internal Revenue meritoriously between 1984 and 2008.
He headed about five (5) Tax Stations leaving sterling traits at these offices. However, in 2008 Mr. Akisanya opted to work within the Civil Service, rather than with the new Lagos State Internal Revenue Service. Thus, he was deployed to the Office of the Auditor General for Local Governments. While at the Auditor General’s Office, Mr. Akisanya was the first management staff to win the best officer of the quarter when the scheme was broadened to include management staff of the agency. However in 2010, Mr. Akisanya was redesignated as a Planning Officer and this prompted his redeployment to Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget in that same year.
He became Director, Economic Planning Department as a result of diligence, hardwork and commitment to duty, when the opportunity arose in the year 2012.
